2002年3月，碾核狂霸Hatebreed发行了《Perseverance》，这张专辑距离上一张《Satisfaction Is The Death Of Desire》已过去了五年时间，乐队也从Victory脱离，转而投向更趋国际化、大型化的Universal。到了新东家，乐队成员们在这张新专辑中，都有了一些变化，可以发现，主唱jamey的声音，在力量方面有了明显的加强，显的更有爆发性及暴力性。
