All My Dead Friends, 在聆听这张专辑的时候, 心中总是不由得生出一个疑问, 谁, 是那个"我"? 也许这并不能成为一个问题, 只是无意间走进的死胡同罢了...这是一张非常CMI的唱片, 主题显而易见: 死亡. 听了无数遍之后渐渐产生幻觉, 把专辑里看起来毫不相关的15首歌, 硬生生的读成了一幅魔界军队征战的画卷...所以在后面的详细介绍里, 常常会有幻觉的呓语.
　　
　这张专辑里大多是氛围乐, 即便不是纯器乐的氛围乐, 亦会加入许多氛围的要素, 氛围乐给人带来的刺激已经不再主要是情感的触动, 而是直接的告诉你周围正在发生什么, 把你生生拽入那个他们所营建的世界里... 其实 Atrium Carceri 的 Simon 用来描述他的专辑 Kapnobatai 的话, 拿来描述所有的氛围乐恐怕都是适合的: 音乐这种东西有一个可爱的地方, 就是就算你听不懂它, 你的潜意识也能解读它, 就像你听见混乱的脚步声, 你的潜意识就会告诉你每一步踏下时脚的痛感, 距离的远近, 还有脚步的频率等等. 但是你清醒的头脑常常意识不到这些东西, 所以你总是依靠切实可以接触的东西来感觉事物. 这就是专辑所想表达的东西. 通过精心的制作与情感发生某种微妙的心理触动.
　　
北欧是伴随着寒冷而漫长的极夜的, Beyond Sensory Experiens 曾经对于他们创作音乐的初衷做了如下的表达: 出生并成长在在 Svedala 的漫漫冬夜里, 我们找到了表达我们对音乐与科学的理解的方式. 我们用独创的仪式去面对挫折, 也就是说, 是为了给人们提供抚慰人心的黑氛围乐. 他们竟然用黑色的音乐, 去融解冬夜...没有在长达几个月的黑暗里生活过的人们, 大概永远也无法真正理解这种漫无边际的黑暗所带来的一切...
